Hello I am new to this site and would like to introduce myself. I am Josh Im 25 and from Tennesee, I am 6' and weigh about 315lbs. Right now I am a stay at home dad, I got laid off and 1 of my children is an infant so he needs alot of attention, I find it normal to try and do things to be more active and I have to stop and care for him. So it makes it a little hard to make a healthy meal or get into a good workout without it being interupted. I know that is no excuse I would just like to see what some of your suggestions may be. My goal is to lose 100lbs., and gain the energy to keep up with my 2 boys
Thanks for any help

Stock your kitchen with healthy snacks...no unhealthy ones...Don't use any excuse like but my kids need their cookies...they don't need them...set a good example for them...take them to the park get outside with them...when the baby is napping take that time to get in a couple exercises at home.

Hello and welcome to FT, Josh! I, too, am a resident of Tennessee!
I thought I would add a bit to lonegirls great suggestions; take advantage of your children!! What I mean is, even infants love to go in the stroller and enjoy the fresh air! I did not gain when I had three children, as a matter of fact, I was in great shape, but I contribute that to my taking those kids for walks when they were younger (I even jogged behind the stroller and roller skated, lol!) and then as they got older, they LOVED the park and that was our destination! When they slept, I worked out like lonegirl mentioned and boogied to the vaccum cleaner! Household chores can actually be very physical if you become aware of the stretching and the muscles used, just add a bit more to them! Kids can be the best exercised when you think about it, they LOVE to go! Good luck to you and hope to see you more at FT!

Welcome to FT jp. I usually get up early, before the children, and while my egg white omelette is cooking I make my lunch and snacks for the day. Chop some veggies for salads and snacks while you are making breakfast, open a can of tuna and make your lunch, fill your water bottles, etc. Put everything in serving size containers so all you have to do is grab it when you have a few minutes. When hot foods are on the menu, I heat and put them in thermal containers so they are ready to go at a moments notice. Be sure to eat 5-6 small meals a day and consult the bodybuilder grocery list for food choices.
