Ihad to take a week or so off from working out to go out of town for cheerleading nationals. So I couldn't work out, so when I got back I was about ready to knock the gym door down, all week I had great workouts. (For example on deadlifts I start struddling around the 405 mark, I did 440 for 5 easy reps, after 6 sets.) Then yesterday i did a shoulder work out, and I was feeling kinda sore from the back day from deadlifts, after I got home, the soreness really started to settle in. I took a shower and went to bed. As normal, I woke up several times during the night with my body aching, It felt like I came down with the flu. I had a low grade fever, my body felt as if I weighted 400lbs. I had a monster headache, and my stomache has been upset all day long. But the soreness went away! And knwo i jhust had a upset stomach with diearea.......
was it too much too soon? has this ever happend to anyone besides me?

i don't think so at all. my experiances with taking week long breaks are usually positive. more time to recover and i usually have great lifts when i come back. as for the illness it sounds like you had a virus because diearreha is common when getting over a virus. hope that helps

I think it's easy to say that you jumped into it to soon. After I come back from my week off (after every 8 week cycle) my first week back is simply an acclimation week, then from week 2 and on, I am back at it.
