i don't like it they don't really know what they are talking about they say that your biceps will shrink if you only work them once a week. what they are suggesting looks like circuit training to me. hit each group once a week and you will be fine.you might only train a muscle group specifically once a week but they didn't mention that you can hit those muscles during other exercises also. thats my opinion i don't like it.

hahaha.

"After exactly 47 minutes, cortisol levels will skyrocket and you won't get results!"

"Do not lock out your reps or you'll shrink"

It's a HIT workout from the Mike Mentzer era. These workouts are largely known for getting great results... for a very short time. Many very serious lifters are supposedly in a state of overtraining, so when they switch to the reduced volume then they recover better and see good results for 2-3 weeks.

However, what the article is not taking into account is that you can't really go to absolute failure without locking out your reps and catching your breath and getting tight for the next rep.

Also, any article that thinks there is an exact number for anything, much less hormone profiles, is retarded. I've seen the cortisol studies, there was a RANGE of peak times, not a single time. Anyone that says there are absolute values in weight training is trying to sell you something.

If you like the style of workout, though, I'd recommend looking into "Dogg Crap" training. It's a fairly popular version of modified HIT that is very well put together. I know some people that have done it and saw decent results, and really liked the training, even powerlifters that were looking to put on mass.

i looked into that doggcrapp and i had a question that maybe you guys can answer. first off it says that on monday two of the work outs are for your back, then on wedsneday it says to work out your biceps, and then on friday you need to do the back work outs again. my question is: with this routine would i be working out my biceps too much? because when doing the back work outs it also works out your biceps and then you rest for a day and then work out your biceps again, then another rest and then work out your biceps again. it seems too much. what do you think?

i don't think so working them as a secondary muscle 2x and primary once a week shouldn't hurt you. three days a week working out shouldn't overtrain you.
