Onee of the simplest is to lay prone with your neck off the edge of a bench and hold a weight plate on your forehead. Dip it slowlly down then back up. Keep the reps low and as much weight as you can do for 8-10 reps. Do a warm up set or otherwise make sure you loosen up. A lot of guys in the military that have small necks use this one to get the militarys funky body fat measurements in line and it burns more than you might think.

Another is shrugs in a military press position. Get the weight up over head and shrug from there. You don't need a lot of weight and it really hits the traps from a different angle.

I got one of those funny "hats" in my gym to work the neck (I bought it since we got lots of rugby players in the neighboorhood!!)
Anyway, you attach a weight to this thing, bend over and move your head up and down slowly. I can tell you this really burn the neck.

Try asking your gym owner if he/she can not get that one.

I have the same problem as yours before. But now, I developed my trapz. I all I do is the Shrugs, Upright Rows, Bent over Laterals. To "REALLY" boost your traps, dont mind the "reps", mind the "weight". the heavier you lift, the better traps. BUT do it with the right position to avoid injury. OK?
