As anyone every experienced nausea after an intense weight training session? I train w/my trainer 3x a week and it seems after every workout I'm nauseated(sp?) towards the end and afterwards. Any advice would be much appreciated.
(If it's a matter of diet, please let me know. I eat every 3-4 hours but my last meal(protien and veggies) before the trainer is at 3pm and my training appt is for 5:30)

Of course the wonderful world of puking in the gym...some days during football we had a bucket in the corner..puke and get back to work....try just having protein shake 4 hours before you workout then have some fruit at your regular time followed by a good amount of water...how long have you been training...sometimes when you first start you feel sicker then you will later on...it goes away once you start gettin into a routine. Fill out your profile so we know what's goin on...hope some of this helps.

Wow, sorry about that. I keep forgetting to update my profile. No worries, I updated it. (thanks for pointing that out)
I hired my personal trainer 5 wks ago. We are doing a 3-day split right now. He almost always has me pushing to muscle failure. I used to be heavy into this to begin with but had two years off and I just got back into it 8wks ago. Believe it or not, at first I wasn't getting nauseated it's just been the last few weeks since we raised my weights and my reps.

Check out your diet, what you eat beforehand. You state that you are on a high protein, low carb diet, but reading your profile, I don't see this to be the case, 120 protein, 240 carb. Something you are eating beforehand may be investigated. If this isn't the culprit, there is a chance that overtraining could be occuring. About the only other thing that may cause this is overtraining. If you are going past your "threshold" in the gym, this will make you nauseated. I know sometimes I can do this on leg day. Reading your profile you were always fit, but sometimes "coming back" is hard and you try to do what you used to be doing and more. Be careful here. Another avenue for you to explore.

Oh, I know I'm going over my threshold..i've even told my trainer when I can't go anymore but he pushes me to complete my sets. (I thought this was a good thing if your trainer is pushing you to do your best) That was another reason why i hired a PT, because I KNEW that if I came back and tried to do it on my own I WOULD go and try to start off where I left off(bad thing, i know).
I do know that he had increased my weights these last two weeks along with my reps.
