About 70% of the time when I work out I get sick to my stomach and become weak. I then can't complete my routine of weight lifting. I make sure that I'm drinking plently of water, but it doesn't seem to work. Tonight when I was doing my routine I had a small snack before I worked out, but it still didn't seem to work. Anyone got any ideas how to stop this, so I can at least finish my workout?
Thanks

I've only gotten nauseous once or twice after a long, intense work out. Maybe your workout routine is too intense for now? I know weightlifting causes a build-up of lactic acid in the muscles, but I'm not sure what affects it has on acid in the stomach. Wonder if taking an antacid such as Tums before your workout might help?

What was the "snack" you had before your workout? It should have come protein and carbs in it.

I do take a few tums before my workout as I seem to have a lot of indigestion while at the gym. Probably because by the time I go in the afternoon, I have already eaten 4 times!

How long b4 you work out do you eat a proper meal and are you drinking water to keep hydrated throughout? It sounds like your blood sugars levels are dropping...I sometimes have that prob but with a bite of a meal rep bar I am ok.
