I have always been a fairly scrawny/skinnny guy. For the past six months I have been lifting weights with little to show. There has been some improvement, but I would like just a little more. I dont want to be some huge guy, just a little more cut with a slightly bigger chest and arms.

I know that I dont workout properly which is why I am here. Here is what I do each week. I only work my chest and biceps once each week. I do my abs twice a week. I also run for twenty minutes, 4 times a week.

Chest/Triceps

Fly machine- 3 sets of 10 at 80lbs with a minute rest in between each set. Then 1 more set at 70lbs.

Seated bench press machine- 1 set of 10 at 145lbs. 1 set of 10 at 130lbs. 1 set of 10 at 115lbs. 1 set of 10 at 100lbs. I realize I should start with less weight and work my way up, but I tried that and cant lift as much weight.

Incline free weight press- 2 sets of 10 at 25lbs. 2 sets of 10 at 20lbs

Regular free weight press- 2 sets of 10 at 30lbs. 2 sets of 10 at 25lbs

High Cable Crossover- 4 sets of 10 at 30lbs.

Biceps

Hammer Curls- 1 set of 10 at 25 lbs. 3 sets of 10 at 20lbs.

Seated Curls- 3 sets of 10 at 30lbs. 1 set of 10 at 25lbs

Standing regular curls- 1 set of 10 at 25lbs. 3 sets of 10 at 20lbs.

My abs are ok. Anyone got any suggestions. I just cant lift that much weight. I eat pretty well. I try to eat as much protein as I can, but dont take any supplements.

That has to be one of the worst routine that I have ever seen. You know that you have other muscle besides chest, bis and abs right? Also, can you explain to me why you think that you might "get big" by accident. I don't understand this train of thought, but it seems to be a common and I am trying to understand why. Why do you think it easy to get big?

here is something for you to try and bite into...if you train your whole body it is easier to build up your "favorite" muscles.

Na. I dont really do any leg stuff. I know I should, cause I dont want to look like one of those guys with a big upper body and skinny toothpick legs. Any suggestions for the other workout routines?
