Workout hints:
1. have a goal.
2. know what you are going to do before going.
3. visualize each rep before going .
4. use enough weight to challenge, not hurt, yourself.
5. drink water
6. always strive to make gains, beware of just "spinning you wheels".
7. lift hard, eat more.

Have you ever wondered why you like doing this? I mean there are times when the thought of another can of tuna makes me break out in a sweat and makes me weak in the knees. But aside from that I love lifting, eating right, and yes I even enjoy the cardio day once in a while. So why do we like it? Is it the sweat, the pain of a fatigued muscle? Is it the day-after-leg-day pain? What? I know that just as each workout is different casue not one of us reacts to it the same so to is our reason for enduring what others deem foolish or going overboard. The young lifters will say to "get the chicks", others claim it is to be healthy. For some it is the looking good reason. For me and a few others it is cause we are at war with the iron beast. Whatever your reason, you need to give yourself credit. Credit for all those miles ran, walked, biked. Credit for all the LBS lifted, sweat lost. Not many do this, you are in fact a minority. One that is very often made jest of. This is not an easy lifestly it takes lots of had work, more work than a lot are wiliing to do. It takes denying yourself food that you know is tastey! But we do it. I know that the end rewards is going to be so sweet! I am not there yet as are many of you, we are still Becoming. But we will get there and then all those that doubted will surely do a double take!

Eat More, Drink More, and Lift Harder than you thought you could, welcome to Becoming!

Its not insanity... Its devotion. Once you do it enough it becomes so much more then a hobby, it becomes part of your life. Not being able to do is what would make you go insane.

I haven't been able to weightlift in over seven months now due to my wrist injury. Every morning the first thing I think about is starting weight training again, and every night before bed its the last thing I think about.

Maybe I am getting to be a touch insane...

Thats very true. I have been staying fit, and eatting right (most of the time) even with this long running injury. I just miss weightlifting so much it hurts.

You get really sick of doing the same muscle groups day-in day-out. I used to love doing abs and cardio. Now I hate them... But I still do them everyday, whether I want to or not. At least I got rid of my chicken legs and filled in abs better. Too bad I've lost nearly everything I gained in my upper body... Sigh. Good thing there is creatine and whey supplements to allow a quick recovery!

Some would argue that you do it because you see the different YOU in the mirror. Results are great motivators and you don't want to go back to what you were.
