Ok, I am no wimp. I grew up on a farm, worked in construction and was in the military. But the last couple of years, it seems I constantly get hurt no matter what level of exercise I do. I have chronic pain and seem to be able to hurt myself quite easily all of a sudden. I sometimes wonder if this is because I worked to hard when I was young and was lifting more than I should have, and now I have long-term injuries heading into middle-age. When I was a kid, as young as 8, I could carry more than my weight in hay, grain, rocks, bricks, construction material. Now I have to pick up some advil if I want to move the next day..and this is carrying much lighter items. I think I just used myself up and I am afraid I am going to wind up a fragile old man.

I read this in your profile, but you might want to try supplementing your diet and dropping the weight. Be careful what type of diet you follow if your diabetic.
also, do you weight train at all?
