Well, all, this was my only real bad week since I have started and I hope that I won't have to work 4 more weeks to make up for it and lose any progress I've made. Since Wednesday and through Sunday I hardly had time to eat let alone workout and I am so disappointed and ticked off about it, I guess that is good as it shows I am bothered terribly by my bad behavior. I didn't eat bad necessarily as far as junk food, though on Friday I did, as the kids at my son's party all wanted hotdogs and crap and by the time I was done cooking and cleaning up I was too tired to do anything but stuff two hotdogs in my mouth and about 8 Doritos. It was more that I didn't eat or I didn't calculate well when I did. Saturday was the most horrible night in my life and I nearly lost my 18 yo son, and spent two days sobbing, so I didn't eat much until Sunday supper and today only got to eat once as I had to go fix a company's computers on a moments notice and ran out the door forgetting my needs!
I am going to workout when my hubby gets home as I've just finally pulled myself together and I need it more than anything right now and am happy that though it was a set back for me, I haven't lost my perspective as I didn't WANT the set back and am looking forward to getting to that workout, I really HATE to miss a workout or mess up my eating patterns that have been working well for me. Besides, someone posted on my personal gallery message something like, if you don't throw in the towel, 78 pounds in a year is feasible. I'll be darned if I'm gonna throw in the towel now! Veda Im sorry to hear about your bad week and weekend. Mine hasn't been very flash either but I've only got laziness to blame. The weekend was the only good point in a bad week. I only got in 3 workouts and Im annoyed with myself. I have to say I hate rain, Im going to have to buy myself wet weather gear so I don't have any excuses.
Im still working on my diet, trying to work out how to eat more food but less carbs. It's difficult when you are so used to eating lots of carbs. Anyway back on track today, workout planned for 4pm and Im planning on eating right too. This week will be better than last! Donna |

Hey everyone. I want to start by saying that everyone here has been a huge part in my beginning success. I could guarentee if I hadn't found FT i would have given up (again) by now. But reading what you all have to say and how everyone supports everyone else is amazing and keeps me motivated. Veda- don't feel so bad for getting off track for a few days- that can easily be made up for, but family is most important and I hope things are going better for you.
This is my first post on a monday thing, so here i go- I worked my butt off last week to make up for a 3 day drinking binge.... my best friend came up to visit and needless to say I was less than healthy. Gained 3 lbs in those 3 days, but managed to lose them plus 2 more. I went to the gym 5 days and on Sunday i hit the park to get rid of some energy. I've been eating really well also- doing the low carb thing as well. I've been low carb for 6 weeks now- DeeTee- once you make it past the first "craving" stage you won't even think about it. I never crave carbs now- not even pizza! Now my problem is my calorie intake is extremely low, even though it seems like I am constantly eating! Well this got a bit long- sorry! Hope everyone has a good week this week and keep it up! Kaia |

Thanks for the support, all, I just wanted you to know I DID workout, yeay! It felt good and I beat the beans out of my boxing bag! I'm going to cut back my calories just a bit this week as my weight loss isn't too much, and I have been watching and hope knocking off 200 calories may help, we'll see.
Donna, it'll be okay, you have lost so many inches that you must be fired up to keep going! Hang in there! Thanks, prairiegirl, your encouragement is always a blessing! Kaiaw, I appreciate your sentiment, it was a bad, bad time but optimism is important and keeping a chin up so I'll try that! Everyone, you are such an important part of my day! Thank you, again! -------------- Veda MISERY IS OPTIONAL ***When you are up to your ears in trouble, try using the part that is not submerged. ***The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan. Heya Veda its good to see your got your workout in and hopefully all is well familywise. Dont worry so much about a couple of small snacks, they are pretty insignificant in the big picture dont ya think??
I think i might have something for your motivation on losing those 78 pounds. Stop thinking about it!!! Yup, you see that's your far off goal, mine is just like yours too its now 60 pounds I have to lose thats down from 109 I had to lose when I started in April. What i'm suggesting is to make mini goals for yourself, say I'm going to lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks. And that way you can manage your workouts and food better, because your aiming for that 5 pound loss. Its much much easier to loss 5 pounds than it is to lose 78 right? All your gonna do is lose 5 pounds over and over again 15.6 times to be exact if you wanted to be picky! I know for me personally, when I hit these mini goals I set I get more and more motivated and it makes everyting i'm trying to do so much easier. It keeps you postive and it shows my harshest critic ( myself ) that I can do it and I'll do it again and again until I lose the next 60 pounds. Your goal is easily reachable, I totally know you can do this, just keep focused and your follow your plan every day and you'll lose those 78 pounds alot faster than you think!! |

Hi all. I overdid a game of beach volleyball on Sunday and my back is killing me. I took Monday off but got to the gym this morning. Everything hurt. I'm not sure if I should take some time off to make sure I don't hurt myself. Or should I just use 50% of the weight that I normally do. Or should I just do cardio this week. I'm not sure. But all the weights I did this morning made me really nervous. I've had a bad back for 10 years and been operated on twice. I don't want to do anything I shouldn't be. I saw my chiropractor this morning and her words were "you're really messed up". I guess I shouldn't have been diving for those balls.
I will go back to the gym after work and do some more cardio. I'll let you know how I feel. |

Hey - does anyone know what George's message is about in this forum. I haven't seen anything but I haven't really been around as much as before.

Well I have to admit. . . and I feel bad about it but. . . I have been a VERY bad girl the last week or so. My workouts/diet have taken a back seat to cleaning/sorting and in general getting my house ready to get packed up starting tomorrow. I haven't been cooking cause I have been trying to keep dishes to a minimun <I have so many other things to clean to have to worry bout them> and my hubbies friends have been coming over for a few last minute Xbox parties so lots of junk food there :( At any rate the movers will be gone by Saturday and then it'll be "vacation" time so I can get back to my usual workout/eating habits. This is probably gonna be my last post till August since my computers are getting packed up and that is the earliest that I will be able to get them. I look forward to hearing about your progress when I get back online, BEST of LUCK to you all!!!!!-------------- Love me as I am . . . Let me worry about how I look! |

We are going to miss you, Kyrah! Good luck to you with your move and sticking to your guns with your goals!
I want to thank you all again for taking the time to send some positive posts my way, life can be so darn hard sometimes, can't it. I love my new lifestyle, though, as though it may take me awhile to get there, baby steps are better than crawling and crawling is better than just lying there drooling, right?! Fitski, you are right, if I look at the big picture (which calculated would take me between 12 and 15 months to lose), I have to look at smaller increments and know I am feeling better every day. Asimmer, thanks for the concern, I know you are busy moderating and working out and appreciate your words. My son is alive and though I am still shaking, I have my workouts to help me through it and good people like all of you! Oh, prairiegirl, seems we just had a not nice person trying to disrupt our peaceful meeting place...I missed it, but think I'm glad I did! -------------- Veda MISERY IS OPTIONAL ***When you are up to your ears in trouble, try using the part that is not submerged. ***The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan.
