Hello one and all. A couple two or three questions. (1) My girlfriend does not work out, is a nail tech and has, according to doc, tendinitis in both wrists, I have purchased polymers, sewn them up in two bags, attached velcro, soak and freeze and have her put them on her wrists for 20 minutes at a time to help;Would you have any suggestions? (2) About "Status" bars. How do they work? I show as a novice. How would I move up to the next stage, is it relevant? (3) I forgot the last question I had but when I remember I'll ask. Thanks. A little out of order here, but I started with the easy question...(2)The status bars don't mean anything, really - you move up depending on the number of posts you make, and anyone could spam the boards and move up.

(1) Your girlfriend needs to evaluate her workspace and make sure she has an ergonomically correct height for her table that she works at. Her wrists should be level with her elbows when she sits in good posture at her workspace.
Tendonitis is basically from overuse, which, being a nail tech is understandable.. She should try stopping every 15 minutes to 1/2 hour and stretching her fingers, arms, wrists. My mother is a seamstres and the shop she works in has anti- carpal tunnel breaks in which they all stop working and do the following stretches:

straighten arms in front of you, palms up, and grab the meaty part of one hand with the other hand, gently pull back (towards floor), so you are bending the wrist backwards. Alternate hands and then turn hands palm down and gently pull hand towards wrist. Alternate hands.

with arms out in front again, make circles at the wrists, one direction and then the other (wax on, wax off).

Open and close hands (tight fist to spread wide fingers), flicking the energy out when you open.

Those are all the ones I remember at this time...

Also, make sure your girlfriend drinks plenty of water - dehydration can make tendonitis worse.

If she smokes, she may want to consider quitting, it also aggravates tendonitis. My husband had tendonitis in his leg and nothing helped, we were at the point that they were looking into it being bone cancer, very scary. He quit smoking and it cleared up, turned out it was just very severe tendonitis and the blood vessel constriction from nicotine was keeping fluid and nutrients from getting to the area.

(3) Yes, twice a day. :)
