Ive been doing squats a lot lately but I notice that my sides right above my waist are getting a bit wider, could this be from doing squats/

Your other posts indicate that you're putting on weight. It's going to be all over not just in one spot. A lot of oblique ab work tends to add width to the ab region for me.
