Hi, I'm trying to lose weight. I weight around 170 lb and I'm trying to get down to 155 or until the muscle I have is revealed.
I used to have a good body, not big but well toned. However after about 7 months of driving around the states in a camper van, eating too much fast food and drinking beer its pretty much gone to flab:(
I'm a 20 year old male and about 5'10". At the moment I only have my room to train in. Heres my schedule.
Mon: FT home exercises (no weights)
Tue: 15 mins running on the spot
Wed: FT home exercises (no weights)
Thur: 15 mins running on the spot
Fri: FT home exercises (no weights)
Sat: Rest
Sun: Rest
I'm not quite sure about diet though. I tried the FT programme and they recommend around:
2800 calories,
190 grams protein,
600 grams carbs,
45 grams fat.
I never eat 600 carbs, usually only around 300, and I usually only manage around 1800 calories. Is this going to effect my weight loss? Surely the less I eat, without starving myself will enable me to lose weight?
Heres how I usually eat:
Breakfast: Dry toast with sardines
Lunch: Salad with Tuna fish
Dinner: Rice, chicken and carrots
I dont think I drink enough water trhoughout the day, does this effect weightloss?
Well thats alot of questions, give yourself a big pat on the back if you've managed to read this far, thanks for any help!
PS. I should be getting some free weights to train with this weekend.

Interesting breakfast...
Good to see you're getting some weights this weekend.. that'll help.
Water will make you feel more full... so you may not be tempted to eat all the junk food... plus, it'll help you frm filling up on pop and other bad liquids.
I don't think you're eating enough. You need to have five or six smaller meals per day. The catch is, you don't want to have to feel hungry, yet, you don't want to overeat. So, follow the tracker and you should be fine.
Hope the helps.

Thanks for your reply, I'd been suspecting I was under eating. That makes my body think I'm starving so it stores more fat. So any good suggestions for these small meals? Thanks!

There's a ton of topics... use fit buddy at the bottom of the page to search for some meal ideas. Also, in the Nutrition board, there is a great thread called "Grocery List For A Bodybuilder." Tons of food ideas in there....
