hello! I found this site while searching for information on fitness competitions. I work out, but need a new goal for myself. I love dancing and performing and have decided I'd like to find out some information on fitness competitions. Does anybody know of a good beginner competition I could check into? I found a Triple A site that sounded interesting...any feedback?
Thanks,
Brooke

The NPC news online has fitness dates. they have many novice shows. Not sure if this is in answer or not to your question. Hope it helps. Wouldn't hurt to get your NPC card if you are planning on competeing more often anyway.

I would probably be intersted in regional. I live in Arkansas and don't know if fitness competitions are very popular in this area...but I'd like to find something small, just to get the feel of what it's like and find people who are interested in working out, etc.

Go to NPC online news, and just look at the comp dates and locations. I am sure arkansas has something. Maybe long enough away to give you preparation time. I live in St. Louis, and we really don't have too many. I just traveled all the way to Cleveland to do the "Natural Northern USA". But all are listed on this site.

If you're interested in competitions in Montreal, check out www.FCPAQ.com (Federation de Culture Physique Amateur Quebecoise). There's a calendar of events there, with the first comp on March 29th.
