I did leg exercises --- My legs hurt for 3 days!!! which made me smile because I knew I'd worked hard

I worked on my biceps, shoulders and lats... I fet I did as much as I could... 4 sets of Lat pulldowns, 3 shoulder exercises and 2 bicep exercises... I really couldn't think of much more.... The next day I felt NOTHING :(:( No aching. So I'm thinking I need to work even HARDER but HOW???? arghhhh...thanks

The symptoms of lifting don't always set on the next day, and some people don't even get sore.
What you are experiencing is DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness).
I myself dont feel anything untill the following late afternoon, and peaksjust before the end of 2nd day.
Keep up the good hard work and don't get hurt by thinking you are not working hard enough.

Oh yes. The first time I worked my legs I could barely walk for three or four days myself. I soaked in epson salt every evening and prayed for it to feel better, but knew I pushed myself to the limit. Keep up the great work and soon the major aching feeling WILL go away.

DOMS is different for different people. The more highly trained you are, you may not feel this. I can attest to this. Like 3 days ago, I did legs, and I am in contest training, and hit from all angles. My legs are still sore today! Yesterday, I did arms as deep and hard as possible, and not a bit sore today. So, it is not an indication that you did not work out hard enough. In fact, more may be overtraining. If you feel good while doing yur sets, and you push each set to the max, then you still did all you could do and you are fine. You cannot use this as a measure of a "good" workout. Hope this helps.
