Does changing the position of your feet vary the muscles worked on this machine, ie, angling your feet outwards or inwards. Is there any benefit of doing a set each on a different foot position or am I better just sticking with the standard exercise.
Thanks for any input.

From the Calf Raises on Leg Press Machine text:
Helpful Tips - Please read over these for your own safety ..
To target inner and outer calves, point your toes inwards and outwards respectively.

I take it this would be the same for the leg press, changing the angle would target the inner and outer thighs more?!

(Shrug) I was hoping that someone else would jump in and answer your question.
It would make logical sense that your muscles would respond as you presented. I believe that the ankle rotation would cause specific portions of the thighs to be targeted more directly.
Hopefully somebody that actually knows what they are talking about will see this and answer the question.
On the calf raise machine, I do 4 sets. Straight, inward, outward, straight.
Hope this helps.

No problem. I'd still like to hear from someone that really knows the answer to this.

I never heard of angling your feet for a different effect on the leg press. Your heels should be about 12 inches apart and your toes slightly pointing outward.
If you just put the front of your feet on the bottom of the plate (your toes) it does calfs.
The machine I'm talking about here is the angled machine.
Hope this helps.
