This is a simple question, in your instructions (on the site) it says if you are trying to build lean muscle mass then lay off the cardio, but isn't that wrong? Yes the body does begin to metabolize proteins in a fasting state, which would break down muscle if you do a lot of cardio and don't eat. Shouldn't your advice be to eat throughout the day to makesure your body doesn't begin to break down muscle? Also, everyone should be putting on lean mass when they workout, right? so why suggest that if you do cardio then you're just loosing weight, and lifting is bor bulking up, the two together create better weight loss results, and can reshape your body versus doing one or the other alone. I just wanted to address this because I know a lot of people proboboly don't know better, and take your advice literally

I am a big believer of variety. I believe you should do cardio 7 days/ a week for the benefits to your cardiovascular system. The amount of weightlifting depends on the goals you have on your body, but a minumum of 2 days a week to maintain muscle mass. I will support you in saying you need both for a great body.
The way to compensate for more exercise is more calories. Always eat 5-6 meals a day the size of the meal and the composition depend on your goal for your body and activities for the day.
Another way to avoid the muscle loss is to comsume 25-30 g protein right before bed and right as you get up. Eating before bed will fight the catabolic effect you body goes through after the first 4 hours of sleep. Eating as you get up, trying to pack mass or not, is VERY IMPORTANT.

Actually doing excessive cardio will break down what ever LBM you think you are building. More studies have shown that proper weight training actuall helps boots you metabolism and lose more BF than just cardio alone. We are not saying to stop cardio, yes both used right will work best. The post I think you are refering to ( if you read the whole post) states that if you only do cardio and not enough resistance training then you will lose muscle.

Interpreting a post sometimes leads to wrong conclusions. What is usually stated is when one is trying to bulk, EXCESSIVE cardio can be detrimental.
And not ever in a fasted state.
