I've been working out hardcore since September last year. Well really, it was a workout style change. I've bulked up to much over the years, and I think its about time to start decreasing the body fat. Get some more definition.
I've been using a polar heart monitor for my lifting and cardio sessions. The monitor says that I should be aiming for a moderate heart rate (137-157) for 45mins, times a week, and then a high heart rate (157-177) for 30mins. Since January I've really taken to just doing the 30mins sessions 3 to 4 times a week. Am I going to see an improvement? Some definition?
Anyone have an points to a regime I should setup for myself?
Interval training, like HIIT has been shown to be one of the best ways to lose body fat. Look up HIIT in fitbuddy at the bottom of the screen and do some reading and try it. I like it because I can get a good calorie burn in less time. It also produces a longer post-workout calorie burn.
