I'm not sure.
I went to the gym and started Monday (a few weeks later than I had planned b/c my student loan was late).
I had serious problems with the weights when beginning the third sets (of each). I was only using 5-15lbs of weights. I stopped after the third set (didn't do 4th) because I did not want injury. I am a 5'4 124lb female who is not strong (infact, my 'muscles' and grip is laughable by my friends) but I know I need to build this up.
My question is that is my designed program on freetrainers too much too soon? This was my first time weight training ever. Or do I just "suck it up princess"? I'm not interested in quitting - I just don't want to damage my body.
Thanks.

Lower the weight amount and try again. Take your time building up the weights.

I'm new to all this myself so please take what I say with a pinch of salt.... sounds like you may just need to use lighter weights? That said perhaps you need to rest longer between sets? How many days a week do you train/ what's your cardio like? It may be an issue of building up the weaker supporting muscles which could be lagging. Also, I saw on your profile you've lost weight.. well done!
As I say I’m a beginner so I’m sure someone else will give you lots of tips and tell you I’m talking poo

Any exercise has to be done with proper form. So, keep this in mind for every repetition in every set.
The last 3 reps should give you some resistance, but not overtake you.
Go lighter and keep perfect form. And yes, your grip will improve, as you will find out later when opening that new jar of jam.
Good luck.

Thanks for the comments.
Although I worked out different muscles today, I lowered the overall weight amounts (uh... to 5-10lbs.), and I'll start with that. Please don't laugh, but I am a puny girl still! LOL!
