I'm 21/m:My instructor had given me a month's schedule workout which i completed today. He told me that i'll be needing a complete body mussage monthly as our muscles get contracted or somewhat streched after a months excercise. They r to be loosened up to get better results in the future. He said, if we don't go through a mussage at least monthly, then it may prevent the muscles from developing further or it may take long time for the muscles to be developed.
Is mussage really necessary for developing muscles?

It sounds to me like he's trying to drum up a little business for the massage therapist! Maybe their friends and send referrals back and forth. Massage is great when you're sore or recovering from an injury, and fantastic for reducing stress. I have had massage for years, and this is something I have never heard.

Well, been around the iron game for quite a few years, never had a mussage. Maybe a massage..LOL...seriously though, never once in all these years. Other than my wife of course...

Does your trainer get money from the more clients he's sending to the therapist?

No seriously, for the body to recover faster a massage can really help BUT so can a sauna, jacuzzi, a good night sleep, meditation, steam room etc as well.

No problem vicky_p...just a little humor. I answered that at about 1AM!. Believe me, I make typos all the time.
