Well it's been a year since i've played organized football in college so I quit powerlifting for a while and did alot more HITT/bodybuilding. Recently, I started lifting heavy again and noticed a very painful pull whenever I bench just above my armpit. is this something i should see a doctor about? or just relax for a few days?

I'm pretty sure you were as vague as possible in your description, buy the words "very painful" are generally a good warning sign.
