i only recently started putting my feet on the ground with this, and i find i always slide down the bench
and eventually, around the halfway rep point, my back is totally arched
what can be done to prevent sliding down an inclined bench?

does the inclined bench have an adjustable seat?.. if so then just angle it to prevent you from sliding.

You should never arch your back during this exercise, if you are perhaps you are using too much weight.

Keep your abs tight and don't arch your back. If you can then put your feet on a step or chair in front of the bench.
