ok, so i know taking a week off every now and then is beneficial, but im pretty sick right now and i just took an off week about a month ago. My question is would it hurt my progress if I took another week off now, or should I just tough it out and keep going to the gym?
Thanks,
Brian

Hey there! If you have a fever - don't even attempt it. I don't know what you are sick with, often times if I have a cold with no fever, I try to keep plugging away, maybe cutting back my routine a bit, but try to do something. If it is the flu, it is best to listen to your body or if you work out too soon, you could end up extending your feelings of yuck and no energy. It is very hard for anyone to answer for you when it comes to something like illness, if you get on a treadmill and after three minutes feel like death, you are definately not ready, our bodies are pretty good at letting us know what it is capable of. Remember most of all to drink LOTS of water, you can feel like you are ready to workout but often being sick leaves us dehydrated and exercise can add to that if we don't hydrate ourselves properly. Hope you are feeling better soon!
