Hello all, I am finally back! After school started, time got tight and I got out of the groove. Since then I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and I am starting to get the diet under control. I strted my 8 week workout on monday, and have done 30 min of cardio every day (totaling 32 miles on the stationary bike so far). I am setting my first goal at 220 lbs, that will be a 30 lb loss (WOW) If anyone is interested in being a "daily check in partner" let me know. It always seems to help if you have to be acountable to someone and vice versa because then if you cheat, you feel like you are letting the other person down. I hope to hear from someone soon:dumbbell:

Welcome back, and don't let the type 2 diabetes be a detterent. My wife has it, and is in competition shape. Takes absolutely no meds at all. We will be glad to help you out here.

Ditto, come on in and stay a while. Making the decision to change your lifestyle is a big part of the battle. Sticking to the decision is the rest of it. Welcome back.

Thanks guys! You all make working out so much easier. It is nice to have someone to check in with, my 2 year old daughter, Krystal, doesn't seem to care:laugh:! I an doing well so far, but I am starting to catch a cold, can I still work out, or will that make it worse?!?

I always try to work out unless I am fatigued or feverish. I will cut it back a bit, but if I can, I will. I think it is about listening to your body, mine tells me when it is not a good idea pretty quick into the workout if I am feeling ill!
There are many posts on this if you check out FitBuddy and the pros here have suggestions that you might find helpful.
Glad your back! Hope your feeling better soon!
