Ok, first of all this is very normal. You might have overdone it a little. First thing to do is ( I know this is going to hurt a little) to move the sore areas. Try to massage them out or stretch them out as best you can. Secondly take some asprin, advil something that cuts inflamation down, Take a hot shower or soak ina bath for a while and rest. That is about all you can do...Good luck and do not give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever you do, do not give up. I worked my legs on Sunday and I am still walking funny. They are just screaming at me. A nice hot bath and stretching seemed to help me. It will get better

DO NOT GIVE UP!!! I haven't! Two weeks ago my trainer changed up my routine from full body exercise to upper body one day and lower body the second day! Boy was I SORE!!! But it went away in a couple of days and last week I was not that sore at all, except maybe my triceps!!!!

You could also try a little massage. Especially after a good long bath massage some cream in well, I find that sometimes helps a little.
Or really treat yourself and get a proper massage every once in a while. As a treat for all your good work.

Drinking water helps wash out the lactic acid build up...when you sleep for 15 hours straight you are not rejuvinated the minute you wake up...same with your muscles, if you haven't worked them before then when you do you wake them up...like someone after a 15 hour nap they will tend to be a little "grouchy" from the get go.

Just make sure you drink enough water, and as was already said move the sore areas around. Do a strech etc, and you will be fine in a few days. I am just getting back to working out myself and im a bit sore today, but I like it. I take it as yesterday was a productive first day back. I made sure not to overdue it on my first day back from months and months off. A lot of new people will go over board their first day and can really badly be feeling it the next day. Good luck and keep it up. It gets easier the longer you stick it out.

ZMA is almost like a magic supplement! I relaxes you enough to fall asleep easy and it really does help the soreness the next day. And water water water.
