Before i began working out w/ resistance training, hunger would come on slowly. Like over a period of 3 or 4 hrs or something like that. Now that ive been working out w/ resistance trainging. It comes on within a 1/2 hour. and when it does it is ON!!! i would eat anything. I don't even remember this happening when I was on the track team in HS. so i don't think the fact that i do cardio has anything to do with it either, I think its to do with my weightlifting. I was wondering if anybody would know whats going on w/ my body, and why hunger comes on so suddenly?
My workout partner alyson has the same problem, she was at the mall the other day, and had to go into GNC to get a protein bar b/c she became so hungry so quickly.

Yeah, your body needs food. What is your meal plan looklike? How often do you eat and what do you eat most likely you are not eating enough and your blood sugar is dropping fast.

I eat often and do what is reccomended through this site, 5 or so times a day and i drink my protien shakes and such. I was just wondering why it seemed (and maybe its not true) but it seems that I get hungry much quicker than it used to. and when i do get hungry, its not like oh i could go for an apple or some food, its like i want to eat now like im a starving kid from some 3rd world country

Haha,
The same thing happened to me almost right after my first workout yesterday...there was no way I could have restrained myself from eating basically a full meal.

The more muscle you have the faster your metabolism. The faster your metabolism the more you need to eat to fuel those muscles.
