Hey, I am (5"9- 240) 16 years old. The Louisiana state powerlifting meet is March 2nd and I need some pointers on how to increase my bench. This will be my 1st state meet.
Right now my MAX bench is (260) but that is a regular lift without waiting on press command.

Shore up your shoulders. Making them stronger will increase your bench. Also, do push ups which I have read will increase your bench as well.
Good luck.

Practice setting up....getting big arch....
work on your weaknesses....find a good program and stick to it....3x3, 5x5, metal militia, wsb, whatever....
Work your Back....Bent over rows, weighted CHINS/PULLS, dynamic rows, etc...
Work on your overhead pressing strength....standing military , push, bent presses...
Work your other big lifts, squat, deadlift, etc

You can leave it on the rack for the curl jockeys.
What does a 15 lbs DB have to do with your original question or the answers that you got from Menace?

carry it during cardio and burn way more calories. Or one arm bent flyes is good with 15 lbs.

A 15lb dumbbell? I'd probably throw it for height. That's just me though...
