Set up an FT program- there is one specifically for building mass. That will answer your questions regarding what to do when as far as weight lifting goes. When you are setting the program up it will ask you how many days you want to train- that is totally up to you. If you think you can do 5, go for 5, or if you want to go 3, go 3. Its up to you. And it has specific days and exercises for each of your muscle groups. the program is definitely the way to go. And of course combine that with a good diet- lots of protein.

I recommend either;
Mon-chest, tue-back, wed-bi's & tri's, thur-shoulders, fri- legs... this one is VERY good for gaining muscle mass, just make sure each day you are fully exhausting the muscle, we do from 5-9 exercises per muscle group, 3-5 sets per exercise, and 10 reps...
The next one is Mon-chest & tri's, Wed- Back & Bi's, Fri- Shoulders & legs, or you can do this one Mon-Sat... hope this helps a little, oh yeah like kai said make sure your eating enough protein and complex carbs...
