Hey..
I might be jumping the gun, but ive been working out doing cardio for 2 and a half weeks and im not really seeing any results... im going to the gym daily (6 days a week), do cardio one day, weights the next.. 45 mins cardio (pushing myself quite hard for the full 45) and for the weight sessions im there for at least an hour..
My diet is ok, im working on making it better, im not way off track, im eating healthily just a bit more than i should and not often enough (i cant really use the nutrition planner thing becuause im in new zealand, and half the stuff i eat isnt on your database)
im at 22% bf how long b4 it starts dropping off and i start noticing a difference in the size of my stomach? does bf drop off all places equally, or does it tend to drop off one place first then the next etc?
i realise a lot of this has to do with my diet but its not far from being "perfect".

also.. wat is an effective heart rate? i keep it at 175bpm for the 45 mins.. i read on the machine that the maximum is 220bpm-your age which would make my maximum 198.. is 175 alrite im not gonna fall over with a heart attack? if that thing going around, that you only have a limited ammount of beats your heart will do in a lifetime is true then cardio is for fools!!!

well i dont know if my plan is good, a personal trainer put it together but i question it.. basically i do bench press, pec deck, tricep pull down, kickbacks, lat pulldown, shoulder press, seated row, bicep curl.. do 3 sets 12 reps.. not on too much weight at the momment getting form right, and not that strong..
damn its embarsing, so much big guys at the gym and to have to put on the little weights is kinda crap.. but i guess u have to start somewhere..
im in the gym for a bit over an hour..

45 minutes every time at 175 is a bit much. Try alternating lower intensity workouts (cardio) with moderate inetnsity cardio, and try HIIT once or twice a week for 20 minutes instead of 45, more effective.
If your heart is fatigued and your body can't keep up with everything you are doing, you won't get results.
Why doesn't your plan include leg exercises?

Just my story, but I have been doing the 12 week program for 10 1/2 wks. I started a huge 272 lbs. I am now down to 248 an looking normal again. This is the best I've felt in 8-10 years. I get to the gym about 5 times a week, but the diet I found is the most important. Everything I've done, I learned on these posts.
Thanks Guys

Good job and congratulations, jontroy22!!!
It is true that the diet is a huge part of when you will get results!

I am a nurse here in the states and as far as my education has taught me your heart has not maximum number of beats over your life time. Every cardiac physician I have meet would tell you that the fools are those not doing any cardio as they are shortening thier lifes and allowing thier heart to atrophy. The heart is a muscle and needs to be worked like any other muscle.:dumbbell:

Garvani, the same thing is happening to me. I do alot of cardio (high, moderate, and low). It just takes time. Stick with it. Everyone is different what works for some will not always work for you. Keep up the good work.
