Can anyone suggest an HIIT routine for a 55yr.old woman who is 50lbs overweight and a beginner to exercise? I need a totally "in home" exercise routine (but do have access to outside walking). No gym access.
Thanks!

A HIIT workout may not be your answer quite yet. At 50 lbs. overweight, it may be difficult at best. Research shows that when rather severly overweight(and I am not trying to knock you here, just a lack of words to describe), simple walking and powerwalking on an incline for instance slowly increasing it as you become more fit does more and will not "burn you out". As you lose weight, you will then "feel" more active, and HIIT will become something you want to do to further your leaning out and cardiovascular fitness. Some ankle weights for walking are another nice option for beginning.

Thanks for input! I am really not quite as "out of shape" as it sounds in my post (ex gymnist..still pretty flexible). I am going to try the walking to get things started.

Thanks!
