Hi,
I need help. I'm 179cm and 50kg and 22. I'm much underweight and look aneroxic. I eat 4 times a day, watch what enters my mouth and when I do try to gain weight, they seem to come as fat around my waist. By the way, my fat places are my stomach and thighs, everywhere else is bony. And I'm a guy. I've tried 12 week programmes, cardio and much more with minimal results. Taking creatine and protein powders only gave temporary weight gains.
Any advice? I work out 4 times a week, free weights as I don't have access to machines and do cardio, jogging, twice a week.
Help!
Thank you.

Ok, cardio isn't going to build you any mass anytime soon. In fact, it may be detrimental to any hypertrophy you may be working towards. Drop the cardio.
What are your workouts like? Post, and we will critique.
What kind of exercises are you doing, sets, reps, split????

like wrestler said, you dont need the cardio if you are looking to put on mass. weight training will be your best bet, and a healthy diet rich in complex carbs, protein, and healthy fats.
also, post what you eat.

and the fat you re seeing is probably in your head, i was 178 cm 52 kgs and i m now 178 (damn) 72 kgs in 8 mounth, just eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat (6 times a day), train hard without any cardio stuff... and REST, you ll gain weight
i don t believe in hard gainers... there are faster gainer maybe but everybody is able to gain a lot of weight if he do what he need to do (change your way of thinking)
