Hey everybody, I'm new to Freetrainers and have been following the nutritional plan they recommended for about a week now: 21 g of fat, 260 g of carbs, 130 g of protein and 1750 calories per day. My goal is to lose about 15 lbs. and tone up a bit. The problem is, I think my body is seriously telling me that I'm not eating enough. My digestive system is way out of whack, I constantly feel weak and I've been getting headaches and dizzy spells. I'm worried the recommendations provided to me may be inaccurate, and I don't feel that losing 15 lbs is worth feeling this way. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

please fill out your profile. Without more info, we cannot tell if that amt of calories is enough.

I am a male powerlifter. I weigh 306 I ate 1800 yesterday in total calories I lifted for a littel over a hour and I was fine. I am thinking that there is a medical reason. That is my guess.

I usually eat around 2200 in a day and I am fine so I would have to agree with Mutt

Hey fawn....a few years ago when I first started to really exercise I was having alot of the same issues.I went to the Dr and they drew my blood and said I was bone dry,I wasn't drinking enough water. At the time I was running up to 2 miles a day and doing strength training,on a very strict diet and would only drink about 16 oz glass of water a day...yes I was an idiot,I was severely dehydrated.I'm not sure if this is your problem, but the symptoms sound similar...I would consider your fluid intake.

I don't really think it's a dehydration issue because I drink a lot of water, but then again I drink a lot of coffee too, and caffeine is said to be dehydrating. I think the calories seem about right, but maybe they recommended too little fat? Not that I'm just looking for an excuse to sneak in a slice or two of bacon, but the Canadian Food Association does recommend that in order to maintain your weight you should have 60 g of fat a day. So 21 g seems a bit drastic, but I could be wrong. Any thoughts? Oh, and I filled out my profile teh best I could. Hope it's enough!
