I wish I had that problem right now, the heat that is. Its 11 degrees here this morning.
We have a huge fluctuation in heat here in the summer it can hit in the 90's and even above. I still do my excercising and lifting I just wear very little. Of course I do not go to a gym I have everything I need here at home. And you must drink your water because the sweat just runs. Not that us delicate women sweat or anything:big_smile:
The baby is another matter, do you have anyone that can watch the baby while you go for a swim?
I have my 8 month old grandson here often and I either wait for him to go to sleep or I snag my 16 year old son to watch him. Which is usually my son yelling down stairs Mom the baby keeps moving or he drooled on me, etc.
If you have any support system ie mom, brother, sister, etc. see if they will help you out for a while.
I hope you find away to get some you time, because you need it not just to excercise but for you to unwind to.

i dont like asking my partners mum to watch her because her own daughter palms all three of her children off to her atleast 3 times a weeek and she has a job and she needs time to herself to, and my mum has 8 granchildren and 7 children of her own to contend with there is always atleast one of them at her house and i just think now we have all finally moved out she probably wants a break. usually me and my partner go to the lake and swim but i dont do any major work out cause i am holding bub with me in the water letting her cool down to. I understand now why so many mums are still overweight we never have very much time for ourselfs we are always putting the child first. i think sometimes we need to be a bit selfish and put us first. I'll let you know when that happens ha if ever.

I prefer working out in the heat. Keeps my muscles warm and loose. I wear sweat pants and a long sleeve until I am sweating when I am lifting, and then strip down layers towards the middle of my workout.

I agree, its hard to get going when its below 65 in a gym. I've had to wear sweat shirts just to stay "warm" in some gyms...or maybe it should be called a "spa" lol

My best times where at my highschool weightlifting class....Not much AC....it was alwasy 75-80....I feel like I've acomplished somthing, when the sweat it dripping off my nose.

Christal,
Why doesn't your partner take the baby for a while?

Darn some of those men need a good whack on the butt. I know if you are deeply motivated you will find a way. Don't let any of this stop you from losing the weight you want to lose.
How old is the baby? Perhaps you could find something similar to this and push the baby around in the water while you swim.

I did something similar with my daughter when she was little, she is paralyzed from the waist down. She is 18 and now uses a life vest but I still drag her around the pool while I kick my feet. Its a great work out for your legs to.
She always had tons of fun to.
