Hello, I'n happy to be back at this forum. Fro the time I started working out on the gym till now-I have gained some good strengh-I'm mostly interested on putting some muscles on my legs-to have a well proportioned body. I'm 5'7 170lb, graduated from squatting 185lbs to 230lb on the squats exercise. I have felt soreness in my muscles often-so i think is not my exercise routine that has helped me be a hardgainer but my diet. The thing is, I don't eat a lot-I'm not a person with a great appetite-so consuming extra calories or meals is a hard task for me. I guess I have to depend a little bit more on supplements, but I'm still scratching my head on which one to take. Help!!!

One word: EAT! If you are a hardgainer, looking to add mass find a way to eat....that is the only way, all the pills and powders in the world is not going to work. Try to eat a lot of lean protein, use the milk, cheese, peanut butter approach these have high cals but still have a good amount of protein you need.....just my opinion but this seems to be the only way for you.

Thank you for your advice-after gaining some size I'll be ready for the losing body fat/cardio program- I don't do cardio yet, because I know it interrupts with the gaining muscle phase-althouh both can be acomplished for some people. When I add the cardio to my routine I'll add the most fun-the hiit training-I think the slow long cardio workouts are too boring to my point of view. Even though I don't do cardio yet, at work I do a lot physical exercise when i get the chance, which always gets me very sweaty(I'm a baggage handler)-I do all the jumping and exciting stuff around the conveyor belt/carousel-I work fast/so when I finish I'm sweaty all over.

I've started using eggwhites in my shakes. They are available in cartons @ the grocery store and are quite tasty in a shake. I also keep a 6 pack of tuna and a canopener in my desk at work. Its an acquired taste.
Good luck, Charlie

Thank you guys, for your tips and replies. I wnet today to buy me some shake called Muscle Milk-it contains 638 cal. per serving when added with milk. Hopefully this and trying to eat a bit more would do the trick--
I have a question to ask: what's the diffrence between gaining weight(if possible all muscle) and then losing some pounds of body fat to the yo-yo diet. It's like if I gain 10 pounds of muscle and then lose 10 pounds of fat, I'll be at the same weight I am now-does that sound like a yo-yo?
