I've been really working my hams lately, and they've started contracting on me. I can't bend over without them burning. They don't hurt when I walk or sit, only when I stretch them out. I've been trying to stretch them and stretch them daily, but it's still really painful. I've always had a problem with not being able to fully stretch my hams, but it's never hurt before. Is there some kind of different stretch I should do for them? I try to touch my toes, and do the sitting on the floor v-stretch. Any other ideas?

Rest. I'm sorry Alorle it's all I can say. Don't stretch them further since you'll keep stressing the muscles.

If it continues, then go and see a doc.

You may have pulled them. Massage them after a warm bath, then if they are less tight try a little stretching. Keep this up it will help!!!!!!!

Also, you might try a heating pad. Heat should help relax the muscles...
