hi everone here is a good question I am having a disagreement with. I have a friend at work who is 6'6, 210 pounds. Before he began working out he was 155 pounds (pretty thin). HE tells me in order for your body to handle the extra weight, your BONES will actually get larger. Doesn't your bones stop growing at a certain age.

I believe that it's your muscle density (not bone density) that increases when you accumulate the additional weight through weight training. That, and water weight.

I don't think your bones grow however they can become stronger, but I'm sure it is not due to weight lifting. Your muscles are what grows when you weight train.

Your bones get stronger when weight training yes, but will never change in size.
