Hello,

I'm to start grad school next month and I'm to live in the dorm. As I'm going to move away from home and as I distrust food served on campus and as my campus is in an isolated area, I'd like to know of simple, healthy things I can eat. Of course, for lunch and dinner, I'll eat on campus but I tend to snack a lot and I'm underweight (22 years old, 179cm 50kg). I have an electrical outlet in my dorm room, so a toaster is coming in. I plan to eat more fruits also. And plums and raisins. And other ideas? Preferably ready to eat food and food that can last about 3-4 days without refrigeration.

Thank you!

Buy an electric grill. You can get ones small enough to cook a single chicken breast, grill veggies, lean meat, burgers or whatever. I'd also invest in a small fridge if possible. It'll be very tough without a fridge, but things like tuna, healthy soups (now you'll need a microwave)...if you can't get the appliances i guess canned tuna or salmon will become mainstays in your diet!
