What affect does giving blood have on a workout routine? Should I take a couple of days off? Or maybe move around my workouts so I don't do arms the next day? Or just do as normal?
I gave through the American Red Cross -- about a pint of blood.
Thanks...

I've had people suggest waiting a week or so... giving blood takes a lot out of the system (pun intended). Others have told me you could hit the weights right away... I would suggest waiting, letting the blood build up again... and listen to what your body tells you...
Congrats on the donation...

I donate regularly and even my doc says to wait at least 72 hrs. After donating, our system is fighting to rebuild itself,
and get more proteins.

Try to rest for about 2 days, and then start lifting about 70% of what you normally lift until you finish one week, after that you should be ok.
Hope this helps
