Hi everyone,
I'm starting the fitness program here on this site, find it realy good.
Now, i want to get serious about it and i'm wondering what nutrition supplements and/or vitamins i should take. Don't want to do "bodyBuilding" and gain incredible amount of mass, just get in a tipTop shape and stay slim, but defined.
Any suggestion?
Sorry for my bad english...

Welcome to the site Luc. If you're just starting, you'll find that you can make some pretty impressive gains for quite some time. I wouldn't worry about gaining an incredible amount of mass since it doesn't just "happen" that easily. The best thing you can do is make sure your diet is clean and keep supplementation to only what's needed. Multi-vitamin/mineral is at the top of the list along with some EFA supplementation. A lot of us use creatine and glutamine with noticeable results.

Speaking of Nutritional Supplements... an indirect friend of mine highly recommended that I take MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) to help keep healthy joints while working out. I haven't been taking any supplements so I thought I'd give it a try. Its been about 1 month now and I haven't notice any real change but I don't have any injuries to speak of. Is MSM a good preventative measure? Or am I wasting my time?
I guess I probably should have started a new post with this message. Sorry Cor0070.

Thank's for the input Mike,
My diet is clean... so i'll stick to what you sugested.
You say "A lot of us use creatine and glutamine with noticeable results", what do you mean by noticeable results? I'm new to these creatines/glutamines supplements.

Pornstar (nice name) the msm that you are taking is good. It is usually taken with glucosamine for athletes and/or people with arthritis. It is good, but if you have no pain, better off supplementing your diet with good protien and multi-vitamins like Mikencharleston said.
Luc, try some good protien, also. (salut)!

Hi Carivan,
What brand of protiens would you suggest, there is many brand on the market, i'm a little confused about it...
I live in your area, so i should be able to find the same brand at my local "pharmacie"...
Thank's, (merci!)

Don't go to the pharmacy. Try and go to a pro shop in the area where you live. There are more varieties and less expensive. Don't pay more than 40-45 for 2 lbs. Buy one that is low in carbs and fat. I use basic or mvp. You have to just find one that you like. They come in all kinds of flavors. Chocolate, strawberry, bannana, etc. Hope this helps. (check your email here)

another piece of advice when it comes to proteins:
make sure that what you're getting in a protein powder is actually protein! take the serving size and divide it by the grams of protein per serving. never except anything less that 75%, otherwise you're just paying for fillers.
