I can do 30 push-ups to the maximum, but I want to be able to do at least 50..
is there someway I could increase my strength?

Bench Press or put a weight on your back while downing push-up then after a few weeks you'll do more without the weight!
Bottom line is if you want strenght you need to lift weights! I did the push up pull -up only thing for about 10 years or longer and was anti lifting weights and guess what. All the pull ups and push -up in the world didn't get me strong.

To increase muscular endurance you can do 10 sets of 10 for example with 30 sec rest between sets....as u improve u can cut the rest time by few sec until u can do all of them with no rest....
100 push ups is not exactly a good definition of strength....it's like running a marathon to test your sprinting ability....

Strength comes from properly overloading a muscle so it has to adapt to heavier loads, thus get stronger. You have to add resistance to the load to increase strength.

lol, well I guess not, but I need to be able to do 100 push-ups to acheive "platinum" on my fitness level test next summer

runningsilver do what you gotta do....there are still some archaic standards of strength used by many organizations....
