The rule of thumb is to work out 15-30 minutes after you eat. Oh and i wouldn't drink alot of milk, when i did that i was doing legs that day and i threw up. damn you squats!!!
Have a pre workout meal 20-30 min. before workout, a good slow burning carb source like oats works well, also have a good protein source, whole eggs or egg whites depending on what your goals are.
