Two questions:
I'm wondering if I could use a neutral grip(palms facing feet) when doing fly presses and have it be just as effective for a pec workout? when using the usual grip(palms facing each other) my left elbow hurts sometimes; thought a neutral grip would eleviate this.
Second: I wonder if I can do lats a couple times a week; and the best exercises to make them huge; I've been doing heavy shrugs and upright rows. Any other good exercises or lifting methods for big lats?

In the first question I think it would be ok to try it and see if that has the same effect, though I do not think it has the same effect. the palms facing each other targets the pecs and delt tie in. The other way it hits lower pecs more. AS for lats....the best exercises for them are chins deaqdlifts and bent barbell rows. Not in that order you can do them in any sequence you would like. hope this helps

I like to do some chin ups, along with bench press, to help warm up the upperbody as a whole.
Try a lighter weight with the flys, or try a differant angle,30degrees, 45degrees 60degrees.....or declined.
If you face palm toward your feet, you just doing a modified db bench press.
Just sounds liek to me your doing too much weight, make sure your elbows are slightly bent as well.

I'm thinking you're right, bigandrew; I am using a little too much weight. I'm going to really concentrate on form and slow my reps down with a pause and contraction more than weight; see if that helps with the pecs. 7707mutt; thanks for the tips! in regard to lats; are you referring to close grip chin ups? bent barbell rows; like when I'm doing back? those exercises I do when working my back. They'll work lats too? Thanks a ton for your information!

Well guys; I modified my flys and now realize my form was not what it should be. I'm going to work on that one. I still wonder if I can or, more importantly, would it be advisable for me to work lats 2 times per week. The only other muscle groups I'm working 2 time per week are abs and calves. THANKS!:)
