Well what do you mean by fat?
Unplug the tv first, and get them outside. Inline skating is great exercise for kids and adults, walking, running, soccer is good also.
Cut back on the processed foods and you will definately see results.
As far as stregnth training , they can do things like push-ups, pull ups, crunches and light weights, not more than 10 lbs. Start off with arm execises at about 2 lbs.
Lateral raises, curls, flyes. Young ones can't lift heavy as they have growth plates in thier bones and we don't want to damage them. Outdoors and the exercises go hand in hand with a clean diet.
Hope this helps.

Encourage them to get outside and play. Tag, hide and seek, baseball, climbing trees, biking, skipping, they all are exercise. Bring them to the park and play some catch or frisbee with them. Get involved and encourage them to be active with you. Go roller blading, anything to get them outside and active. What do they eat?
