When doing an exersice do you do all the sets in that exersice before moving on to the next?

Well you CAN do that if you like it. But and here is the thing....most workout programs have 2 muscle groups like chest and tri's...one big muscle(chest) followed by a smaller(tri's). this is because the biggfer the muscle the more energy it takes to work it...if you did one set of chest followed by one of tri's neither would get the workout it needs. Now you might hear of something called supersets this is when you do 2 sets back to back for either 2 different but large muscles like chest and back. Go to bodybuliding.com and search for super sets they have a great definition.
