i have love handles i have read that you should not exercise your obliques because the obliques would get muscular and make the love handles show more. any one hear different
If you want to lose the excess fat in the midsection, spot reduction is a myth! You will need to lose fat in your entire body for you to lose those love handles. This will require a good diet and cardio exercise (at least 3x per week). Exercising the obliques alone will not be enough...
Of course you need to exercise your obliques if you want a nice waist BUT what people want to say is don't use too much weight when doing the obliques. Why? Because the obliques are not different from any other muscles so the rule of hypertrophie (building muscle mass) exists here as well.
One point is to NOT have any muscles at all and the other is to make the existing muscles too big.
