When doing 3 sets of 15 reps of say, push ups. Do i do all 3 sets at once or move onto a different type of exercise after each 1 set?

it all depends on your training....
some people wait 30 sec-1.5 min before they do another set of anything... others do a set of another exercise and alternate back and forth without resting at all..
personally, when im lifting heavy i like to have the rest in between sets...
it just all depends on your routine and goals...however, no matter what, that particular body part does need rest between sets...what you do in that time is up to you :)
-------------- There is no such thing as a *set point*. Im only set on getting past this point :)

Traditionally, a prescription of 3 sets of 15 reps would mean complete all three sets of that particular exercise before moving on to the next exercise. Sometimes to change things up you might want to do two different exercises back to back as supersets. So, as Velasca was explaining, you might do one set of triceps pushdowns then immediately proceed to complete one set of bicep curls, take a rest then resume tricep pushdowns (just one example, of course).
