ive been playing pretty rough football lately. ive been holding my own during the game pretty nicely. But when i get home my knees and back hurt like hell from being tackled and what not. what exercises do you suggest that would help prevent injury.

No exercises in the world can prevent you from getting injured in a sport like football!
I would just suggest that you do resistant work to strengthen and to do work to stretch and stabilize yourself and ice down after playing. Put ice on the knees and on the small of the back!
Stretch out real good before you play and after then Ice!
Lots of Core work will help the back too, I don't mean six pack work either!

Abs! And not just endless crunches, but weighted ab work and exercises that use the trunk to stablize (deadlifts, squats etc)

I do hacks too because I'm still dealing with a bulging disc in my lower back but the problem here is it's not working the stablizers well so I do lunges to compensate that, lunges are alot lighter for me then squats!

try full contact twists(look it up on either youtube.com or google videos)
heavy abs work
Heavy bench, chin ups, goodmornigs
I would get a squat rack....and do squats, goodmornings, overhead presses.........try to look for deals...I am sure u can find it fairly cheap...
or if u can persuade your parents for something liek this

it's fairly cheap and you have a built in spotter with the safety bars....(christmas present? ;) )

Yes, ab work & legs are good "core" exercises, but make sure you're doing something for your lower back as well.

I have been diagnosed with a separation of my abdominal wall. Is there any ab exercises I can do to get around this injury?
