A good friend of mine is working out 5 days a week and starving herself, she is also taking ephedrine, caffeine pills and aspirin each time she goes to the gym. Can anyone tell me what these pills are going to do to her body???

I felt that my first post needed some more info. From what you have told us and I beleive others here will bak me up on this , it sounds like your friend has a serious eating/body image disorder. The starving action alone is enough over time to cause death. But taking the rest will just speed that up. Ephedrine and caffeine when used the right way are somewhat safe( i think it is best not to take them at all). But it can cause major health problems. She really needs mental help and or a doctor to put her in a hosiptal to get these actions under control.

She will definitely lose weight, and most of it will be muscle. Sounds like an intervention may be in order. Talk to her and find out what she is thinking.

Bad news. Get her on the right track. Our bodies are like motors, and need fuel (good food) to run on. She will be very sick, and damage organs.
Consider her as an urgency.

Seriously... Get your friend some help, and quick. Can you imagine her running on a treadmill, with no fuel in her, on uppers!? (Ephedrine and Caffiene make your heart go faster)
She's going to crash, and crash hard. Sometimes being a friend means being the "bad guy".
