" Altogether, each Large egg provides a total of 6.25 grams of high-quality, complete protein. For this reason, the egg is classified with meat in the food categories. One egg = 1 ounce of lean meat, fish or poultry."
I had no idea ONE large egg contained up to 6 grams of protein. I make scrambled eggs in the morning with 3-4 eggs and eat it with 2 slices of toast and some lean meat to go along with my protein drink.
I never even thought of looking at the nutrition facts on the egg box so i guess i can add about 18-24 extra grams of protein in per day i never counted......
by the way i eat the whole egg not just the whites or the yolk cause im trying to bulk up

If you have no problem with the cholesterol, chow down.

Good post. They also contain half the protein. Do not throw away good food unless you have cholesterol problems. Dietary cholesterol does not play as big a part in cholesterol as percieved.

hmmm fat is still a bit too high isnt it. I looked at my fat intake for a day on nutrion page and it says I should take in 64g a day, each egg with 20g of protein will have more than 20g of fat too.

Hellscream if you get most of your other fat from "good" sources (oily fish, nuts, olives etc) I wouldn't worry too much -
good fats improve your lipid profile and reduce your chances of heart disease etc.

A large egg has 212 mg cholesterol(entirely in the yolk). It will not hurt you, in fact good.
Serum cholesterol will have minimal if any affect by this.
