I have been following a FT program for four weeks perfectly. I only eat what's on the BB grocery list and have made many meals I found here at FT. I am following the exercise routine with great results for such a short time. BUT, I just started a new job where I can't eat every couple hours. I ususally eat B.B pancakes at 6:30 am then do not eat lunch until 1pmish(I make it very balanced-protein,carbs,efa's) and then inhale a protein bar at 5 on my way home then dinner by 6:30. Eating snacks is not an option, I am in the middle of a vet hospital. Is this going to be incredibly detrimental to my results? Do I try to make up my nutrtional numbers on the couple of meals I do have? Do I eat more at night because it's a very physically demanding job and I am starving at night! I am really loving the results-both mentally and physically- and don't want to loose this lifestyle. Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks, R

A couple "liquid meals" may suit you well. All you need is a shaker cup and water.

If your starving before going to bed, eat something. And are you sure you can't eat something every few hours? It only takes a few minutes to eat a small meal and I am assuming your getting breaks.

Can't you prep several small meals the night before and bring them with you too work (thats what I do)? Not everything you need to eat has to be cooked on the spot. All you need is a fridge and you really don't need that.

Thanks for the reply. I do get a 1/2 break but it's usually 5 or more hours into my shift. It's a chaotic mess before then. I am lucky if I make it to the bathroom every couple hours! The lunchroom is downstairs and there is no way I can run down to eat.I am in the middle of a vet hospital so I can't really snack while working! It's kinda hard to make time for a meal when your covered in body fluids! I was just wondering how I should split up my meals - if I should add the more fat, carbs, protein to my earlier meals and try to have a moderate dinner to reach my nutritional goal in fewer meals. I just need to be high energy and able to focus at work but I don't want to lose the little muscle and fat loss I've acheived.

ya know, I used to have the same problem, because in total, I only have 1 1/2 hour break during a whole 9 hours. what I do is I eat breakfast, then there's a 2 hour commute, I make sure all my food is prepared before I leave the house, I cut up some of those bb pancakes, wheat bread, egg whites, the shaker cup and separated scoops of protein powder to tide me over. my real full meals are breakfast and lunch. the last meal I take before I go home would be protein shakes or mrp. In between breakfast bb pancakes, and in between lunch and dinner is either a protein shake or wheat bread with tuna and egg white omelette.

People find it difficult to believe that I'm losing weight since everytime they see me, I'm munching on something!

hope this helps!

Thanks cupcake, I will do exactly that. The idea of having a protein shake or a snack between meals would be great but being convered in blood and urine and having rectal themometers and other 'goodies' in my pocket kinda cuts down my options. I have the long bus ride too so this'll work perfectly! Thanks again
